The owner was very helpful. He contacted me by phone to confirm my arrival time and when I informed me that I was delayed due to my flight arriving late. He kept the accommodation available and made sure I could access the property at a late hour. The following days he provided me with excellent advice on where to eat and visit for the duration of my stay. I would repeat my booking.

Never judge a book by the cover from the outside I wasn't sure I was at right address, and when you go in you feel the same but for a different reason..this place has to be best value on booking.com .you have a complete flat (without kitchen) all kept immaculate and very large and airy .the hostess was very friendly and helpful 🙂 if your looking for a night week or longer this place has to be for you.

But the real prize was the magnificent, fully lined tweed drapes in the room -- an easily overlooked touch, but such exquisite fabric in a simple, cozy little hotel room, and such a Scottish touch, too! A loving family runs this place. You won’t find a more accommodating and truly kind host than Sonny - always eager to secure your comfort or solve any matters of concern. There’s Stewart clan here and the place is beautifully dressed in antique collections. Michael (Sr.) is the chef and makes tasty dinners & yummy breakfasts. Both breakfast and dining rooms are spacious with lovely views of the yard. And yes, I got my cream for coffee and cereal! The twin room was compact, clean and quiet after the local crows finished their morning chat. Selkirk and surroundings have a lot to offer sightseers. Beautiful country. Sonny, you are a special person and Michael, Sr., thank you for sharing stories and making us feel special with your and Sonny’s gifts.
