Our ferry had been cancelled and we had to find accommodation near to the ferry port for an early morning sailing the next day. The owner couldn't have been more helpful with information and was very welcoming.

We were looking for somewhere wild and remote and this was perfect. The drive from the mainland is breathtaking. The cottage itself is beautifully furnished and comfortable. The hosts were very helpful. It was a fabulous experience.

We loved the location. Waking up there was like living in a dream, the view from the kitchen was so beautiful we wanted to cry. The hosts are so kind it's unbelievable, they left milk and a loaf of home made bread for us to find on arrival (and daffodils in the living room) ! The apartment is much bigger than we thought, and it had everything we needed. The parking space is huge so that was a big plus. The heating is phenomenal; we didn't expect it to be that good so we were boiling the first night!

Warm recommendation! We had a wonderful stay at Buaile nan Carn. The house was warm, clean, cosy, and beautifully maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The hosts were incredibly kind and communication was excellent throughout. If you’re looking for an authentic Isle of Skye experience, this is the perfect place to stay. Best wishes from Denmark!

    Beautiful accommodation in a lovely location. A lot of thought has gone into equipping the property with everything a guest might need. We really appreciated the kitchen having a wide selection of utensils, pots, pans etc. Apartment was spotlessly clean, bed and sofa really comfy.
