We had an amazing stay at Hawthorns b&b. The hosts made us and our dogs feel super welcome. They gave us a lot of tips for sightseeing and made nice conversation. The room, bed, and shower were very good as well. We had a beautiful view of the fields from our room, and in the morning, we had a great homemade breakfast. We would definitely come back! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Located halfway between John O'Groats & Thurso, a hidden gem, Wayne the host is a wealth of information & could not be more welcoming. There are 2 pubs located 5 minutes away, we had dinner at the Northern Sands, excellent meals. Would have stayed longer if time permitted, if you're looking for peace & quiet Celtic Lodges is perfect. Highly recommend.

    The location was ideal for the purpose of our visit to John O’Groats. We were very late arriving due to the A9 being closed, Eilean and Graeme were very understanding and told us to take our time and get there safely. Breakfast was very good.

    A lovely location between John O'Groats and Scrabster. Very convenient for the ferry. Our hosts were delightful and could not have been more helpful. Our room was lovely and comfortable with our own coffee machine. Everywhere was spotless and the breakfast was excellent with a great choice of continental and cooked food.

    Graeme and Eilean were extremely helpful and welcoming, including both recommending and booking a restaurant for us as we arrived quite late after a long drive, and also for local knowledge about the ferry to Orkney. The room was very comfortable and the location ideal for the ferry to Orkney.

    All meals in the hotel were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and very happy to deal with requests and queries. The room was small but we had a bathroom with shower facility (better for us than a bath these days!) and everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I would certainly stay there again.
