The room was clean and warm on a chilly night, bed was comfy, breakfast was very nicely cooked and presented and staff were friendly. Tea making facilities with a biscuit was appreciated and the rom decor was admired.

Everything! Location was secluded and idyllic. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and so much thought had gone into making our stay comfortable. Very generous welcome tea, coffee and biscuits. Rooms were great, charming, almost stately home chintz! Bathrooms were clean and really well equipped with towels and quality toiletries. The gardens were beautifully maintained and it was such a joy to visit. The breakfast was outstanding - we would go out of our way to stay here again. Thank you!

This was our second time here and it was as good as the first visit! Warm welcome - all the staff were lovely, very friendly. Rooms were large, had everything you need and were spotless. Great location to explore the area. Great value and delicious, plentiful breakfast.

    The location was ideal for us as we have family in the square opposite the Poltimore. The room was huge and the beds very comfortable. Lots of character in the building. Very pet friendly. Amazing water pressure in the shower.

    Location was a little bit rural but actually very convenient for Exmoor, Barnstaple and the surrounding area. Very comfortable 'pod', very clean and housekeeping excellent. Very quiet location. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice, plentiful and freshly prepared. Ate at the restaurant one evening and the meal was very enjoyable. Beautiful views.
