The Sheep and Penguin is a brilliant, newly refurbished little inn. We had the pleasure of staying a couple of nights there. It's a great base to explore Wells and the wider Somerset region from. Excellent customer service from all of the staff, especially the manager Dan who made us feel completely welcome and gave us some excellent local recommendations. The pub downstairs is fantastic and the food was top notch. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with a very comfy bed! We would highly recommend that everyone visiting Wells or Somerset should stay here!

Pilgrims of the Goddess is a wonderful b&b! It has a great location, very close to high street but not so close you hear all the noise. The owner is kind and warm and all the amenities listed on the site (or on booking.com) are exactly as the property is when you visit. The communication was excellent before and during my stay with very clear check-in directions provided before my arrival. I will definitely stay here again in the future as long as there are rooms available.

Friendly but respectful, so open warm and welcoming. I felt so safe and protected all of my time here.. I couldn't recommend here more, especially as a solo lady. The hosts were exceptionally kind, funny, both were fountains of knowledge. They couldn't have done enough for me. I also had the added treat of a treatment while there in my room, and wow. The views from my bedroom were spectacular of Tor and of Avalon. Everything was beyond my expectations, somewhere very very special ❤️

Lovely friendly pub full of character and chatty locals. Nice open fire. Dog friendly which was nice to see. Food was excellent. Great choice in the evenings and superbly cooked.Very clean throughout. Really enjoyed the stay. If you don't mind being a little bit out of town then this is the place. Will definitely stay again.     If you need your Glastonbury fix then this place is for you. The location is on the Glastonbury Festival site, but despite this, it is so peaceful and relaxing. The outdoor bath has beautiful views across fields for miles. Despite being close to the hosts house, it is very private. The property has everything that you will need including high quality toiletries, a well equipped kitchen and a fire pit.

    We liked the fact that it was on a quiet lane and was surrounded by wildlife. We opted to cook in most nights, the cooker was excellent, with a wide range of utensils. All cutlery and crockery was very clean. The bedding and towels were also spotless and the beds were really comfortable. Very good Wi-fi access, and close to Wells and Glastonbury. Great views from the rear rooms.

    We loved the location and the setting - very peaceful and made for a good change of scene. The property itself is well kitted out and clean. The owners were welcoming and helpful. All in all, a lovely stay and we hope to be back one day.

    Gorgeous little retreat in a peaceful location. The Loft was lovely and light, and the hosts provided us with toiletries and kitchen essentials- plus handy local information. My husband, daughter and little dog had a fabulous stay here. The weather wasn't great so we didn't have chance to use the outdoor area, but that looked fab too.

    Absolutely wonderful lodge, spotless, and with everything that you could need for a fantastic stay. Amazing views from the lodge, across the countryside to Glastonbury Tor. Hot tub was a great addition.
