Stayed at The Moorings in April.  A lovely spot, ideal facilities, we had everything we needed.  The enclosed spaces front and back were perfect for having the dog with us. A perfect base to travel to local facilities such as the Barbara Hepworth Gallery and Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and excellent walks nearby. The welcome pack of groceries and personal card from the owners also left a great first impression. Highly recommended.

    As we live in North Yorkshire, it is an ideal location for visiting our family and friends who live in Wakefield and surrounding areas. The rooms are comfortable and there is always parking nearby with no charge. I often stay alone and always feel safe here. Sometimes when staying I dine alone and never feel uncomfortable when doing so.

    The staff were very helpful and friendly, and very courteous I can't praise them enough. The rooms are spacious, very clean and have everything you need from toiletries to extra towels. It's in a central location and close to amenities making it ideal to stay in.
