Family run tavern/apartments in traditional hill village (I want to keep this place for myself and not tell you about it) where you can totally relax. I found all staff/family to be welcoming and very willing to help. The apartments are exceptionally clean with air-conditioning included in very reasonable price per night. The apartments are above a taverna where you are served good food for a good price (gyros 2 euros, mixed grill 15 euros and everything in between). The tavern/apartments are set on the village square, families from the village meet here most nights. There are x4 small tavernas and a village mini- market, plus a beautiful village church (which is found by following a white marble inlay in the ground from road to church). The unspoilt beaches (the whole coast around this area is natural/unspoilt and long may it stay that way) are approx 2 miles away, where people from the village go regularly plus offer you lifts on the way (trustworthy genuine people). Anyway, as I stated earlier I almost want to keep this gem to myself, however, 'Amalia Hotel' is where you must go if you want a genuine traditional Greek welcome with no rip offs.

My stay exceeded my wildest expectations! The apartment was incredibly clean, cozy and fully equipped. I lacked nothing. The owner is incredibly warm and friendly. The location was perfect. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely come back here on my next visit to Kattavia. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Just as we expected from the photos, a beautifully decorated old stone house with pretty outside area, very comfortable big bed, and good kitchen and a welcome natural cooling breeze through the windows. Thoughtful supplies of fruit, home made jam and local wine awaited us.

Everything is superb... That is the place where one can enjoy 100% local environment and experience incredable hospitality. Beatiful house, tradicionally decorated yet with some luxury elements, super clean and comfy. Spacy terrasse and all equipped kitchen.. Unbelievable welcome package ☺️ The house is located just a couple of.mintes walk from the centre of cosy maintain village, with great local taverna and supermarke nearby. We highly recommend this property. The house was very clean and extremely well appointed. Everything you could possibly need, is included. There is a large upper balcony overlooking the village, and in the distance, is the sea. Sunrise from the balcony is beautiful. The owner has a comprehensive list of suggestions re food, and activities, and the suggestions we followed did not disappoint. The village is very quiet, but does have three Taverna. As we were there in October, there weren't many flowers evident, but the Rhodian Fallow Deer more than compensated..... wonderful animals, and quite numerous in the local roadside woods in the early evening. The host, Konstantinos, was super helpful, especially when we arrived after dark and had a bit of difficulty finding the property. Communication excellent

    Good location for walking and swimming as in mountainous forest with 15 minute drive to beach. Friendly staff. Balcony with exceptional views. Woke up at 6am in the morning due to noises coming from the abandoned property just under balcony to find a herd of wild deer foraging in the vegetation. A beautiful memory as they finally all galloped off into the nearby forest.

    A gorgeous hotel in a lovely quiet village in the beautiful mountains of Rhodes! We loved our stay here. We were treated so well and felt truly relaxed. Our room was well decorated and very clean. The breakfast is not to be missed! And dinner was also delicious. A wonderful stay, we will be back!

    Stunning area - The Breakfast was amazing. The only distraction was the music being played in the restaurant area, could also be heard while you were sitting on the balcony of your room. Other than that its an amazing hotel in an ideal location
