The location was perfect, completely immersed in nature. The staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable and cozy. There was a common area with all the facilities such as a microwave and kettle that allowed us to prepare a quick meal.

Amazing remote location, not far from the town Eglisstadir, the hosts were really helpful, it was clean and comfortable. We saw the Northern Lights that night at the guesthouse and it was really beautiful experience. I recommend this guesthouse for everyone who is traveling on the east side of Iceland.

The room was a bit cold in the evening, but got warm over night. One window leaked a bit of air, dropping cool air down on the bed, so I stuffed a pillow up in the window, for more isolation. In the morning I felt i needed more AIR, so I just removed the pillow. =D There were extra blankets, to keep me warm. The shower was good, warm water came fast. The place had a fridge, which is always a plus, and especially here, as you have to make your own breakfast.

    Expectional value for money - fantastic location (some nice walking and hiking paths), possibility of doing your laundry, well stocked and new kitchen. The breakfast (2000 ISK per person) was delicious and well worth it. We actually happened to be the only ones there that night so the owner upgraded us to a larger room which was so nice of her. You can also buy hand-knitten lopapeysas, hats etc on the spot.

    That was a cheapest place in that part of Iceland, was not sure what to expect. The staff friendly, the beds after long trips were very comfy. It has shared bathrooms and kitchen. In Iceland are not many places to stay outside camps so I would say its a good choice!

    Excellent place to stay. Our favourite after ten or so nights in other places as we travelled the entire country. Fab location. It felt very homely and our host was very lovely. Breakfast was a bonus and wonderful quality. Quiet and night with comfy beds. Defo book this if you can!!!

    The location was fantastic and the hosts were incredibly friendly. Breakfast was exceptional. The hosts also sell wool clothing and produce from their farm which we thought was a really nice touch.
