The host was very friendly and welcoming. His English was good. The private two person room is great, spacious and well equipped and felt very homely. All the facilities were very clean. I am tall but still fit comfortably on the bunk bed.

Beautiful spot, run by some extremely thoughtful people. Perfect place for a rest while doing the Shimanami Kaido 👌🏼 All the small touches really blew us away and added to our overall experience.

I truly enjoyed my recent stay at Guest House Michishio! Koji's hospitality was perfect - attentive yet unobtrusive, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. This is one of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed in. I didn’t want to leave. The photos really don’t do it justice. The baths are just beautiful. The staff are so helpful. I would love to return one day.

I am not usually one to write a review but our stay at Azumi Setoda was phenomenal. The room was beautifully decorated and the attention to detail was next level. The staff were very attentive and always welcomed us with a smile.

We had the most amazing stay at Grandma's house. We opted for the full board having dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast. The food was so fresh and delicious! This stay is an absolute must if you are cycling the Shimanami Kaido. It is over half way along the route so it's a great place to stop over to rest if you want to do the full route in 1.5/2 days. This was our first time sleeping on the tatami mats and we were pleasantly surprised with the comfort and warmth! The staff were so kind, we were very sad to be leaving!
