Everything was amazing. The staff are the most friendly Kyrzyg people you will ever meet. It’s a family owned business with people born and raised around the Song - Kul lake. The horse trip they organized for us was a breathtaking experience taking us deep into the flowing hills and mountains around the lake. The food was amazing and if you ask you can use the sauna which was an amazing experience combined with the altitude of 3000 meters. The yurts are cozy, warm and clean and some are raised on ea platform which makes for a very comfortable night

Staying at Mirbek’s camp at Son-Kul lake was one of those rare, one of a kind experiences. The location at over 3000m is remote and can only be reached by gravel road. It is as authentic as any stay you are likely to have of nomadic life. Aijamal, Mirbek’s sister, took care of us at the camp and cooked the most delicious meals. It’s right at the lakeside, ready to enjoy the most incredible sunsets and on our first night you could even see the entire milky way with the naked eye. We all rode horses on the second day, which our kids loved, even our youngest who had never been on one before.

Situated in Akchiy, Yurt camp Asman at Song Kol lake features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. This luxury tent provides a garden as well as a terrace.

This was the best yurt camp we stayed in during our trip in Kyrgyzstan. Few women spoke really good English and they were polite, nice and very helpful. They helped us organize transfer back to Naryn. Food was amazing and they made it vegetarian upon our request. Yurt itself was spacious and 2 of us got yurt only for ourselves. They also had flushing toilets which was so nice. We took 3 hours horse ride and that was so amazing! Although guide spoke only Russian language, we managed to talk to him and he really tried to take good photos and videos, like a pro. All in all very recommended. And on the bonus side, yurts are away from other camps in Son Kul, so you feel very private.

Yurtcamp Rahat is situated in Kyzylemgek and features a garden. Certain rooms are fitted with a kitchen with an oven and a stovetop. Guests at the hostel can enjoy an à la carte breakfast.

Yurt camp Rahat was one of the best yurt camps we’ve stayed in. It is located near the lake, so the views are fantastic. They welcomed us with homemade products. The host family is very friendly, communicative, you can take a closer look into their daily routine. The kids are very cute and they made a whole place even warmer. Breakfast is also included in the price. They even took us horseriding to another nomad family (which gave us horsemilk). I highly recommend it, especially if you want to experience Kyrgyz nomad life and disconnect from everyday life.
