I stayed overnight at this hotel and was very pleased. The room is comfortable, there is everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Delicious and varied food is prepared and served upon request at any time. The owner of the hotel Anju is friendly and caring, very pleasant to talk to and friendly. On my next trip to Sri Lanka, I will definitely come to this wonderful hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful, nature-surrounded retreat and honestly, I wish I could have stayed longer. The entire experience was incredibly calming — nestled in the heart of nature, the serenity of the surroundings was just what we needed to unwind. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Sydney, the General Manager, Kasun the Butler, the Chef and the entire team went above and beyond to accommodate my partner’s dietary restrictions, ensuring every meal was safe, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The food was outstanding, fresh, and full of flavour, easily some of the best we’ve had while travelling. Their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel incredibly supported and welcomed. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed to blend in with the natural setting. We woke up to the sounds of birds and the rustling of trees — a rare and peaceful experience. Perfect and peaceful location, with really helpful and kind staff. They also have the smartest and most lovely dog I have seen. Totally recommended. In order to go to the apartment don’t follow Google maps, ask the locals at the villages as you pass by.

Friendly and trusted staffs. They provided everything what we asked. Facilities are as per the details provided at the time of booking. Even though I paid extra day as check out time is 11am and I left the facility at 6pm, they refunded my extra day payment.

This was one the best hotels i stayed in my time in Sri Lanka. The staff was great and the owner even more so. I did a tour with him through the knuckle forest reserve and it was absolutely beautiful. He also knew a great deal about the places we went to and the local community. The hotel was clean, had a good vibe and the vieuw from my room was amazing. 2 other rooms where being built and he had plans to put in a pool. If this place gets known, its going to be packed with tourist. I would highly recommend this place and if i ever go to Sri Lanka again, this hotel is going to be at the top of my list.

This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo

We really enjoyed how we have been integrated, we felt just like another member of the family. We were looking for an authentic experience to spend aluth aruvudu (Buddhist new Year) and we could not have dreamed of something better than the few days we lived at the SNF. After 1month and a half we have never experienced this kind of welcome elsewhere. The whole family is very open minded, intelligent, sensitive, curious but what probably touched us the most is their willingness to share everything: Food (of course) but also what life learned them in general whether it is practical skills like cooking, cutting a coconut, observing nature or more "soft skills" like their view on life and their wisdom. We hope to come back as we know this was a unique and special experience.
