A special place in the countryside. The staff are welcoming & helpful, a beautiful pool and lovely gardens. A retreat from a busy life. Dinner & breakfast we’re surprisingly delicious as we only booked a couple of hours before arrival.

This is the second time I stayed in this place. As usual, I find this place is safe and private, clean,safe and welcoming. It is good value for money. Also easier for travel arrangement to get done. The host is helpful if you need further assistance, help, preparation.

The stay is in the middle of the jungle, and that’s what makes it very unique and appealing. The host grows many fruits and trees themselves which they use to prepare local/organic food. Very friendly host, thank you for the pleasant stay. We wish we could’ve stayed for a few more days.

My stay at Iduwara Arana was absolutely delightful! From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. The staff's attentiveness and genuine care truly made me feel like a valued guest. This fantastic hotel is set in the middle of nature. If you like seeing and hearing birds, then this place is great, with over 25 species in 1 night stay. The room was large, the linens were high quality, and it was all very clean. We had a kettle for making coffee, good AC, and fan. We had a room with a great view over the garden towards the lake. The owner, Chandana, was very friendly and spoke good English. The hotel is very well decorated and comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting to watch the wildlife at sunset on the bench provided. The garden is also a haven for wildlife and has a lot of interesting trees. He provided us with the best Sri Lankan breakfast we have had in a month. It was outstanding, with some of it made by his wife. Him and his staff member were very kind to help us change the wheel on our tuktuk, too. A wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a halfway point between Kandy and Negombo

A wonderful and comfortable hotel in a stunningly beautiful place on the lake. A spacious room with a balcony overlooking the lake and the sunrise. Delicious food and a pleasant stay. I felt attention and care throughout my stay. Next time I visit Sri Lanka I will definitely come to this wonderful hotel.

    Silver Hill exceeded our expectations, so we extended our stay to 6 nights. The food is remarkable, making it the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka and the ideal spot to experience the country's cuisine and nature. The cocktails were so tasty we had one with every meal. Highly recommend this place. The price is very reasonable, offering an authentic experience without the hustle and bustle of tourist areas.

    The loft was beyond expectations. A simple, rustic but comfortable and lovely place. The view from the lodge and the surroundings was beautiful. No AC, but who needs AC when there's a cool breeze that can literally blow you away all day long? Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The staff is amazing. Lovely food. Awesome location. We are already missing the lovely breeze... Highly Recommended
