We chose this villa for our last night in Mauritius and we couldn’t be more happier about this decision. The owner was so friendly and caring, she even made us a welcome surprise which made our honeymoon trip even more special. The place is beautiful, modern, clean and has everything you might need. The accommodation is beautifully decorated by Jacqueline. Her craft work is amazing. It adds that extra unique touch. I took photos of everything. So picturesque. Jacqueline and her lovely sister were so welcoming. They made me feel at home. She goes that extra mile for her guests. She's a lovy kind hearted lady. Although it is not a B&B Jacqueline checks if her guests had breakfast, water for their travels even though she does not have to as it is self catering. They looked after me very well. I was so sad to leave. The location is AMAZING. There is so much to see. I will need to come back just to explore the parts I didn't get to see due to time limit.

I selected Ferney as it was the closest hotel available to the airport and the nature reserve looked beautiful. I was unfortunately only able to stay for one night and arrived very late so was not able to do any of the walks or activities although the looked very nice. Ferney was helpful in arranging a driver to collect me from the reception in a 4x4 to take me to the lodge at 9:30pm as my flight came in late. They served me the full dinner and spared no details which was well received. Dinner was smoked marlin starter, amazing venison steak with mashed potatoes, veg and salad with brownie and coconut ice-cream. The bed was very comfortable, air conditioning appreciated, and there was absolute silence because of the remote nature of the property. Breakfast had a lovely spread of fresh fruit, yogurt, cold meats, cheese, jams and toast. You get an individual basket of two freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolate. Eggs of your choice were made to order. In my tiny time there, without venturing at all, I saw manycbirds, a rabbit and a mongoose. All staff were very pleasant, friendly, and went the extra mile. It is not the typical Mauritian beach holiday but a nevertheless wonderful, nature-filled experience.
