Absolutely fantastic little gem for a couple's getaway! The location and scenery is spectacular. Loved Jack's bay so much. Very quiet and serene at night. Lots of little touches made the stay special - matching and tastefully picked out crockery and cutlery, sharp knives, very comfortable bed with quality linen. Even chip and dip with a bottle of cold bubbles on arrival! Bbq clean and with all the accoutrements - even cleaning wipes. They have thought of everything!! Thank you so much!!

This is a beautiful location with really lovely hosts. Waking up to the sounds of birds was great. And then hearing the playful donkeys asking for breakfast later in the morning was fun too. But the accommodation was a perfect location for a quiet getaway while being close to a lot of the natural beauty attractions in the area.

We had a lovely stay in the cabin in Tahakopa, the space was comfortable, peaceful and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Our host Ray, kindly let us drop our luggage off early so we could spend the whole day exploring the gorgeous sites around Tahakopa. There are some flies near the cabin as it is beside farmland, however we were able to leave our door and windows open with the curtains shut in the evening while relaxing on the deck as well as the comfy couch in the cabin and no flies came in! We shut all windows before sleeping and the cabin stayed at an ideal temperature and with such a comfy bed we had a very good night's sleep. We were a bit confused by a previous negative review as the photos completely match the set up of the space and there is everything you need as a solo traveller or couple for a relaxing stay. We highly recommend this place!

The cabin was great. Everything we needed for our stay. David was great, extremely flexible, and helpful. Four-legged visitors were a bonus. Amazing views, native bird sounds, and sighting of wood pigeons. The store/ eatery down the road had great food. Location to the rest of The Catlins was awesome. Definitely will be returning ☺️

An exquisite place. Everything was beautiful and well thought out - from the complimentary wine to the high quality bed linen. One of the best stays we’ve had. Make sure to set your alarm for the stunning sunrise in the morning. Wish we could have stayed longer!
