Best stay on the Camino Portugués. Smiling Places is exactly that — a genuinely welcoming, peaceful stop that feels like a little haven. The host is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful. You can tell the place was built and run with care. Everything is super clean, comfortable, and just works — from the quiet rooms to the little details. There’s even a small garden and a pool, which was perfect after a long day walking. Breakfast was great too — simple, tasty, and enough. Out of all the places I stayed along the Camino, this was the one I’d come back to without thinking twice. Highly recommend.

Apartamants are built in old fishermens house, I think. Very nice location - close to ocean. Apartaments are very compact, but well designed, there is possible to stay for family with 3 childrens. Friendly staff. If you travel with car, good place for the last night stay, close to Porto airport. Car parking in the front of doors.

My son and I had a very nice stay at Mae Maria. The room was perfect and the breakfast too. Maria even made us some ham and cheese rolls to take with us! She embodies the spirit of the Camino 100%.

Everything, it was an amazing experience overall. The team was great in everything we required. Was an excellent stay. The location is beautiful, we could see the sea through the window. The restaurant was divine and the spa was so relaxing and I wish I had spend more days there. Will definitely be back.

    Amazing housekeeper Silviya was very kind and welcome us with port wine and cake. The location was right on the Camino, very comfortable for us. Close to the location there are some restaurants. There is very nice kitchen and large lobi, also a pool for the hot days.

    Great location by the Beach, calm and nice villa neighbouhood. We took an uber to the AirPort for 19 Euro, takes around 25 min. Owner was very helpful.

    The property looks amazing and the location is really close to the beach. The house is super clean and comfortable. Everyone was nice. It was a one night stay but it felt comfortable like home. I really recommend it 🤗
