Owners were super friendly and their house was very cosy with a nice garden and terrace. Just around the corner from the beach, where you could watch the sunset. Room was nicer than I expected from the pictures (the bunk bed was wider than it looks in the pictures and very comfortable). Breakfast was great with a lot of local foods. Very clean and equipped with everything I needed. And great price too. My biggest recommendation!

A very attractive, nicely decorated 2 bedroom suite on the top floor of the host's home. From the balcony off the living room and master bedroom there is a beautiful view of the fields below and the ocean beyond. The kitchen is well equipped, so it was easy to cook our own meals. Sandra spoiled us with a welcome basket of goodies that included a jar of homemade jam! There was also a decent supply of coffee pods, some teas, and basics such as olive oil, vinegar, and salt and pepper, which we appreciated. After we were unsuccessful in booking a taxi to take us to the Sao Roque ferry terminal, Sandra came to the rescue and arranged a ride for us. The only improvements I would recommend are a light over the kitchen sink and a heated towel rack in the bathroom.

Don't hesitate to book it! The location is in the center of Madalena, there are parking spots for the car next to the building, apartment is big and comfortable (it even has a small garden) but the best of it all is the host! She's very sweet and helpful, you can always call her or ask about something. We had an extremely pleasant stay!
