The location was great. Felt secluded but was an easy walk into the village. There are small supermarkets within walking distance and also a variety of restaurants too. We liked the restaurant at the top end of town - it was attached to a hotel and spa. We self catered a lot of our meals and the kitchen was well equipped for all cooking. We stocked up on supplies at the large Continente supermarket in Lanhoso - on our way there. A lot of thought has gone into the small touches etc. It was spotlessly clean! Susana and Tomas very friendly and welcoming. I needed medical attention and Susana helped me with organising that. Nothing was too much trouble. We really appreciated the cheese and bottle of rose on our arrival. We liked the restaurant at the top end of town- the one attached to a hotel and spa. O The air conditioning worked really well and was needed as for the first two days it was over 38 degrees! Overall - a wonderful stay!

Stunning house. Private but still close to everything. 2nd bathroom was a bonus. Hosts were lovely. Be aware of the narrow road. But not a problem for us.

In general, this is a place that you could not miss in the Area. Excellent premises, location, rooms are update, comfort and service are the number one priority. All customer are treated welcome, This Hostel is more than that is a full comfort , luxury, service, plus restaurant breakfast is amazing fresh food or you can prepare your own food in the common area. Clean liness, Decor, Harmony, Warm rooms in all sense. All the stuff is very helpfull and beyond the expetaction. To be honest, there is not work to descriptive you have to try it. Fafaio is a very nice Village in the Heart of the Peneda Geres Area.

We had the best time in the apartment and a wonderful holiday in Peneda-Geres national park. Margarida was very nice and helpful host. The aparment was perfectly clean and very well equipped. We really appreciated the pool. The view from the terrace is really stunning. Hope we'll be back some day!

    The location could not be more central to Vila do Gerês. The hotel is beautiful, the room was huge and the bed was really spacious and comfortable. I slept like a baby and I'm quite fussy about beds and mattresses. The shower/bath was big, the water hot and with good pressure, lovely bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice too, European style with some eggs, pastries, fruits, cured meats etc. Would definitely come back again ☺️

    Spectacular and peaceful central location right on the waterfront. Very helpful English speaking staff at checkin. Free secure parking. Delicious and plentiful selection at breakfast. Super comfortable memory foam mattress. Room with balcony was compact, spotlessly clean and lacked for nothing. Walking distance to watersports, tourist info and restaurants. We will be back!

    Lovely location ideal for hiking or visiting close by lakes! The lady running the hotel is very kind and communicative. Althought she does not speak english, she managed to give us all the important info to have a good stay (here I'd recommend to learn at least few Portugese words/phrases like 'thank you', 'this', 'eggs', ... as it makes communication more clear for both sides). Also the breakfasts were fantastic! Definitely would visit again.

    This is a terrific property. Very clean and comfortable, great facilities and much bigger than it looks on the outside. Location is terrific, very close to views of the mountains and of the lake. It's also easy to access by car and has good local amenities - a little grocer 2 mins walk away and the restaurant at the Hotel Sau Bento offers good food at decent value a 5 minute walk away. It's an ideal spot for exploring the Geres-Peneda National Park.
