The first thing to mention is location - it’s really private, noone else around - only the wineyards and mountains. The second thing to mention is the owner - she’s such a beautiful person. She guided us on everything before our stay and turned out that there’s their own wine farm. We’ve been there for 2 days only and wanted to do wine tasting but didn’t have a lot of time to come to another village. So we did wine tasting of perfect vinhos verdes right with the owners - the wines are delicious, very recommended. And the apartment is perfectly designed and made 😎

This was a wonderful place to stay in Marco de Canaveses. Our room was large and comfortable, almost the size of an apartment. The pool was refreshing, and offered a lovely view of the river. We also had a phenomenal dinner there - Paulo Damotta, the chef, is a real talent in the kitchen. But what made our stay truly phenomenal was the attention of Fatima. We had lost something and she was wonderfully helpful in helping us try to find it (by calling people and explaining things in Portuguese). She is a generous spirit, and a most welcoming presence at Casa da Ribeira. I would give this place 11 stars out of 10!

    Excellent place!!! We spent 3 nights at Tamaca with two small kids. The location is gorgeous and the place was great. It had a brand new swimming pool, pond, areas for relaxing and the best views over the river. The rooms were very spacious and equipped with all we needed. Breakfast was fantastic, abundant and very good quality. Both staff and owner were extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely a place where we will try to go back.
