The place had everything that we needed, it was very clean. The house offers a beautiful mountain wiev. Ribeira de Janela village is built on a steep mountain, Quinta House is close to the top of it. We could (not that easily) walk down there but had no power to walk up. The wiew at the ocean is amazing! There is a small bar on the top and a small cafe and shop down the mountain. The host Vania was very kind and helpful. Since we traveled without a car, the Vania offered to meet us and collect our backpacks in Porto Moniz, offered (free of charge) to drive us to Fanal Forest and up the mountain after we walked down, as well as bring something from the shop for dinner. PS Vania is an animal rescuer and money she gets from renting the apartment is spent for that purpose.

An absolute miracle! A perfect escape. The house is really big with two large bedrooms and the loveliest living room. It has everything one might need, the kitchen is fully equipped.     We absolutely loved staying here and would book it again without hesitation. The room is very comfortable and well supplied, and our host was lovely with great communication and easy check in. The location is great for exploring the western and northern sides of the island by car, and there is an excellent little snack bar just a few moments walk away. Ideal spot to come back to after a day of exploring to enjoy some wine and watch the incredible sunset views.

    Beautiful location on the west side of the island. Wonderful, very clean pool, with a breathtaking view of the sunset. Breakfast served in your cottage. The cottages are close to the farol, which is a magnificent viewpoint for the sunset.
