Warm welcome by owner Philippe and the rest of the team. The place is brand new with very tastefully decorated lodges. The view on Lake Kivu is amazing and the food delicious (the best we had so far in Rwanda!). The eco and community aspects of this project are a strong plus. Lots of activities to do. Once the swimming pool will be ready, this will truly be a little paradise. Getting there by boat from Gisenyi or Kibuye is the best way to get there.

We had an exceptional wonderful stay at Umurobyio Lodge. It's the perfect place to unwind and immerse oneself in the beautiful nature of Rwanda. The Lodge offers everything one would need for an unforgettable holiday.The scenic views from all angles over Lake Kivu are breathtaking. The staff were incredibly attentive, always helpful and friendly, catering to our needs with a warm smile. The hospitality of the owners and the whole team made us feel truly welcome. The food was a highlight - fresh, delicious, and healthy, a feast for both the eyes and the palate.  Our room was spotless, clean, and very comfortable, complete with a spacious balcony offering a fantastic view over the lake.  We had a wonderful experience and we can only recommend the Lodge for a perfect holiday.

Amazing place to stay in Kibuye. The staff is awesome and the place to have breakfast great. We really enjoyed our stay. There is a restaurant near by which was delicious and a perfect spot for sunset. I took a treatment at the spa which was one if the best i‘ve ever had. We would definitely stay there again.

The room was cosy, the toilet was clean, big and private without being cagy. The staff said yes to every desire of ours, can't thank them enough. Tastefully modernised colonial home. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Large very comfortable bed. Balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens which go down to the lakeside. The area is very quiet and the peaceful garden attracts many birds. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast can be had on the lawn and it is very healthy and plentiful with products grown in their own garden. We had such a lovely stay here, we highly recommend it.
