The host was very welcoming. The room was spacious and well-equipped. It is located 2 mins away from the sea. We rented a car to them and they were very accomodating with transfers.

I stayed La Casa the Castara for 11 nights and loved the place. There is a number of apparents to choose from, each one unique and full of character. I stayed in 2 bedroom apartment which was ideal in every way. Each bedroom had en suite bathroom and there was open plan lounge with well equipped kitchen. Outside there is a big balcony with outside place to eat or just sit and relax. I loved the beautiful views from the balcony on the village and sea as much as watching hummingbirds flying around and feeding themselves from hanging down feeders. The location of the property is very convenient as it is located in the centre of the village with short walk to the beach, ships and local restaurants. It made feel like I was a part of this beautiful, tranquil carabbean village. The Casa the Castara is a family run property and the owners Narine and Scott are wonderful hosts who made us very welcome. I would be definitely coming back

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful place in Speyside. The views were absolutely stunning, and the gardens, along with the surrounding wildlife, made it even more special. The host was incredibly sweet and friendly, making us feel right at home. The place was spotless, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. This stunning 1920s colonial house, perfectly preserved and standing proudly in front of the sea, is nothing short of magical. And what can I say about Penny, the incredible owner? She is an absolute angel! Not only did she answer all my questions with kindness and patience, but she also saved me from a major mishap by personally taking my forgotten phone to the port. Her generosity and attentiveness made my stay truly unforgettable. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, especially the ones facing the ocean—those are worth every penny! Waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sun set over the sea from your window is simply breathtaking. It’s the kind of view that stays with you forever. The town itself is stunning, with a beauty that captivates at every turn. The locals are some of the kindest and most welcoming people I’ve met, especially the taxi drivers, who go above and beyond. A special shout-out to Dads, who not only drove me to the port but also played a key role in the great phone rescue mission. This is one of those rare places where everything aligns—a magnificent hotel full of charm, a spectacular location, and the warmest people. I cannot recommend it enough!

This was really an exceptional experience in Tobago! Of course the location is great - you can easily get to any place of interest on that cost. But you need a good car! And the surroundings, and the design, and the view from the terrace and bath - everything is just perfect! As well as our comfortable cottage- it was especially perfect for us, because we were the only guests at that time and all the beautiful garden, as well as big kitchen and relaxing area was just for two of us. BUT - the biggest win of that place is the hosts! We felt so welcomed as in a family, Rachel did everything to let us feel as at home, at the same time giving us all the privacy we needed. And her great recommendations all over the island helped us so much! She really made our trip as one of the best memories!
