I’ve been traveling all over Zanzibar for quite a while, exploring every beach, and in the last two days I finally found a hotel where I felt truly comfortable — just like at home. Everything was great, we booked a 3-star and were treated as if it were a 5 star. Rooms were comfortable, staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food is good. We even had the privilege of meeting the resort owner, whom to our surprise was a local, as we were previously informed most resort and hotel owners are from abroad and investing, however knowing we were supporting local was a massive value add. If you’re looking for a relaxing home away from home this is the place to be and the rates are fantastic for what you get. A little piece of heaven ❤️ Asante Kidoti Bay!

Babalao bungalows is the perfect place to stay in Nungwi! Max the owner is the best host I’ve ever stayed with. He is so helpful with advice on where to eat and what to do and answered any questions we had about the island. All of the staff are excellent. The location couldn’t be closer with the beach just around the corner. Lovely breakfast and food at the pool bar, great facilities, such good value for money and I would recommend this as the perfect place to stay for families, couples or groups of friends! Thanks Max and Co for an amazing stay in Zanzibar!

I really enjoyed my stay here! The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the stunning beach. The hostel has a very laid-back vibe, and it’s easy to meet new people. The staff was welcoming and helped organize snorkeling and island tours. Breakfast was simple but tasty. If you're looking for an affordable place with a great atmosphere, this is a great option!
