Also, watch out for traffic, as there are no road markings. Our room was lovely, featuring double-aspect windows with a fantastic view. It was spotless and felt very new. One minor drawback is that the windows are actually shutters, not glass, so some outside noise does filter in. However, since the guesthouse is on the edge of town, the noise wasn’t too disruptive. This design is due to the building’s listed or historical status, which adds to its charm. The manager was very friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was simple but plentiful, providing a good start to the day. Being on the edge of town, the guesthouse is a bit of a walk from the bus station, but it’s conveniently close to natural pools and local hiking trails. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops just a few minutes’ walk downhill. I would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was amazing and the staff all was super friendly and helpful. It’s a bit up the hill so one might need a few minutes into town but as most people come to Lençois for hiking anyway that’s no problem at all. We had a wonderful time there.
