I had an absolutely incredible stay at Cruz Roja in Leticia, easily the best experience of my entire trip in Colombia! The staff here are simply amazing—friendly, funny, and always willing to help. They made everything easy and enjoyable, from modifying my booking dates to storing my belongings while I traveled deeper into the jungle. They helped coordinate with a tour agency, which was a huge plus. Each morning, they cooked delicious meals, and we had great and easy conversations over breakfast. Their kindness and warmth made me feel at home, and I truly appreciated their care and attention. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, and the rooms are very spacious with air conditioning—an absolute necessity in the Amazon! One detail I particularly loved was the adjustable lighting in the rooms, allowing you to switch between cold and warm tones. Small things like this really make a difference. Just keep in mind, like everywhere in the Amazon, there is no hot water—but that's to be expected. The location is convenient, just a short drive from the airport, and while it's not the most walkable area due to an open field separating it from the city center, tuk-tuks are cheap and fast. Getting around Leticia is very easy, as it's a small town. Another reason to stay here: the hotel contributes part of its profits to the Red Cross Foundation. So by staying here, you're also supporting a great cause. Huge thanks to the entire staff for making my stay in Leticia unforgettable! Charlie is a very nice person. I feel he is truly nature lover and he has strong knowledge of everything in the forests. The room is very clean and the mosquito net makes me feel safe. Relaxing in the hammock after the day trip in afternoon and falling asleep in the surround nature sound at night. Charlie takes care all activities, I don’t need to worry anything but always have surprise about Amazon. I highly recommend staying in his place and join his day tours! I will miss his lovely family!!

The owners are so genuine, helpful and generous, always sharing what they have. Their place is beautiful, peaceful and just a 20 minute walk/5 minute boat ride into the town, perfect location! Loved all the animals that were in and around the property, such a great place to chill for a few days.
