But TAKE CARE about the so-called Tourist Guides outside of the hotel trying to sell guided tours. I pre-payed ONE HUNDRED EURO for an agreed price of two-hundred euro covering a full guided round-trip on Fogo island including volcano visit. When walking up an volcano the guide told me being only participant that the walk was a change in schedule and the full price would be ONE THOUSAND EURO - and that he had access to a credit card machine. I decided to leave the minibus and walk all the way back to Sao Philipe. Next day the host of Hotel Savana told me that he is an authorized tourist guide and the he did NOT do anything illegal - believe it or not...

We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

Jose is super host. He organize pick up, cooking, tours around island. They brothers are very good gidės to climb to volcano. My big thanks to Felix. I would reccomend to stay there min. 2 nights.

The airport is right there so perfect place to get your rest during your Cabo Verde getaway. Pipi and her family are a true blessing and are the best hosts I've encountered in a long time. As a frequent traveler I cannot say enough about how great this place was. Pool was the perfect size to cool off. The food was amazing. Cocktails were delicious. The room was spacious and super clean. Comfy bed, large shower (hot water). I could go on and on but words aren't enough. Go there check it out for yourself you will not regret it.

I lived the old colonial time house, which was transformed into the hotel. Renovation is really well done which preserves the spirit of the building and is very atmospheric. Emmanuel, chef of staff is very friendly and helpful. He also makes great cocktails! Best place to stay in Sao Filipe.

The guided hike to climb the volcano was also great and a very complete experience overall. Our host, José, was always very kind, helpful and friendly. I totally recommend this place for anyone who wants an authentic getaway to relax and enjoy a few days by the volcano.

The location of Fogo Boutique Hotel is spectacular. Right on the edge of the cliff overlooking the Atlantic. Just awesome. The swimming pool is edge-side as well. Perfection. Lounging around, reading, swimming, drinking beers. I stepped out our room five paces and played guitar with my legs dangling, lush greenery all around, overlooking the Magnificent Atlantic. Surreal. The photos we got are out of this world.
