Located in the historical centre of Znojmo in a reconstructed building dated back to the 15th century, Penzion Kaplanka is set 400 metres from the castle and houses a wine bar. The location, overlooking the river, is fantastic; the historical building has been renovated preserving its original layout, while at the same time offering modern bedrooms and very comfortable beds; the breakfast buffet is varied and abundant. In one word: excellent accommodation!

It was my first visit to Znojmo, and I was impressed by the historical charm of the streets. The apartment itself was exactly as shown in the pictures—modern, clean, and equipped with everything we needed. One small suggestion: bring your own slippers or thick socks, as the floors can get a bit cold. The communication with the owner was excellent—quick responses and very friendly interaction.

Though it might sound like an overstatement, I will say this is one of the best accommodations I've experienced during my travels. It was remote enough to enjoy the peace and quiet along the river, while close enough by car to the town, where we could either do some exploring or just stock up on groceries. The host was amazingly accommodating, greeting us pretty late in the evening and leaving us a nice welcome gift. The vinyl record player was just another treat on top of the existence of hot tub and we have to commend the host for very good taste in music. I recommend this place and hope to return soon.

Great place, I recommend it to everyone! Probably the best place in town! Great staff, always ready to help. We checked in quite late in the evening after an unpleasant experience with another hotel. We were respectfully consulted by phone, administrator has answered all the questions even on a late weekend evening. There was also the possibility of early check-in the next day. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, there is a common area with everything you need to have a quick lunch or breakfast. The concept of this hotel is mutual trust and respect! A definite recommendation! 👍
