The property has mountain and city views, and is 300 metres from Staatsgalerie im Hohen Schloss. The guest house features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. Excellent guesthouse owned and operated by a very kind German couple. They welcomed us very warmly. They offered great breakfast even if it was not on the reservation confirmation. The room was great, spotless, comfortable and warm. Great price also. Plus free parking. One might say too good to be true, but it was true! Thanks for this excellent stay.

The non-smoking Altfränkische Weinstube has brightly decorated, spacious rooms with cable TV. All rooms feature a private bathroom. It is super nicely decorated and very authentic. It breathes the age it has. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and beds are great. The shower could use an update though.

The Klosterstüble is an ideal base for exploring Rothenburg’s Old Town, with St James’ s Church only 300 metres away. The River Tauber is 600 metres from the hotel. The staff were so welcoming. My husband is allergic to the feather pillows and bed cover, the staff found synthetic pillows and blankets for him! I highly recommend thos hotel. Our room was beautiful and had exposed timber in it. Had the best sleep here in our 1 month long trip. The bed was super comfortable!

All rooms at the Hotel Sonne are spacious and traditionally furnished. Some rooms have a view over Rothenburg’s historic rooftops Even before arriving at the Hotel Sonne, the manager communicated with me as I have some medical issues, and he made accommodations to assist my wife and I. The Hotel is right in the middle of everything. The restaurant is wonderful for breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you have a car, the garage is right around the corner and very easy to get to. All the staff is super friendly and helpful. 5 stars service
