Our guide Rita was very knowledgeable and managed to show us multiple funerals at a different state. We could rent a scooter from the homestay for three days. Ibra organized our night bus tickets to makassar and dropped us to the bus station. We could also do a late checkout which was convenient to catch the night bus.

I had a perfect trip in Toraja, and it mostly owes to the perfect hosts. They prepared everything with care, showed me the good restaurants, helped me planning the trip, and even took me to a funeral, where I met their bigger family who are all great people. The bed was comfy, and sleeping under the roof hearing the rain was soothing (I have phobia of rain but this time I was calm). The little place is well decorated, fits the vibe of the hosts couple. The moment I met them I knew I got to get a good trip, that’s how they made me feel. I arrived early and left late, but they always welcomed me and had me a place to rest.
