And no amount of this will ever be enough. It leaves a last impression on you and the sense of amazement stays with you every time you look around. There are also sprawling views of fields and farms below. 2) The Food: We went in with no expectation about the food at a cottage, as we tend to mostly explore the restaurants in the area to experience local culture. Not here. The unassuming cozy restaurant offers some seriously good dishes which will have you licking your fingers after every meal. It has to be something to do with the water in the area, but EVERY SINGLE MEAL was DELICIOUS. So much so that I met with the chef and made sure he felt my appreciation. 3) The People: The hospitality of the Pahadi(mountain people) is well known, and is exemplified at this this location. Such kind, welcoming and warm people - this I felt was truly the best part of visiting Uttarakhand in general but in particular this cottage. I wanted to specifically mention Naval Kishore, the manager - always made sure we felt at home and tended to our every need Our server, who treated us like royalty every time we came for a meal. You are truly made to feel special.

Mr Pandey who was incharge of dining was superb, he ensured all allergy restrictions were adhered to, and we were kept comfortable

Also the town is very peaceful, good stop to slow down a bit or to find some rest before the next hike.
