The beach in front of the property is gorgeous. There are hammocks in the water, swings, kayaks, paddle boards, and chairs in front of the water. The rooms are amazing and so comfortable with Netflix, air con, mini fridge, shower with hot water, etc. One of the best parts is being able to use the scooters to go all over town which is included. The property is out of the town but by having the scooters, it makes it easy to go into town. The property is super clean and the workers are very nice. Breakfast is brought to your room each morning and includes a sandwich, fruit, and pastry. It's basic but good. You get one coffee pod to make in your room per day which is good. If you want you can purchase more. Each day they also restock your mini fridge with two beers, two waters and two sodas. They also clean your room daily and the property is kept very clean. This was definitely a splurge for us but if you use all of the amenities it can be worth it.

The area is really really stunning, the view from the room is amazing. The outside terrace is beautiful and at night the little lights and sunset just look amazing. I truly have nothing bad to say, the breakfast was varied and filling and I will absolutely come here again. There was kayaks free to use whenever and a jet ski for 1200 pesos per 30mins for 2 which was very fun! I absolutely recommend, the staff are lovely and helpful. We will be back!

Very nice! The kids loved the pool, the room was big enough. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I loved everything about this hostel. The location was great, close to supermarkets, restaurants, bars and city Center. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms always very clean. I stayed 10 days as I was working and I found different spots from where I could work and have my meetings. The hostel has a chilled vibe, so it was great as well to rest. The staff was the best part! All very friendly, we hanged out and had a good time together. Cooking lessons, and parties with Gus the DJ were the best!

The rooms are very spacious and nicely designed. I really liked the garden and swimming pool area (very relaxing!). Casa Cactus Buenavista has a great location to explore places like Bacalar, Los Rapidos, Mahahual. Regarding food, the host can prepare it for you if you order in advance (it was so delicious!!!). You can also visit a local restaurant located few minutes on foot from Casa Cactus (there is also an option to have it delivered). Close to Casa Cactus there are also local shops with food, honey, souvenirs. Wifi signal was strong and available everywhere (not only in rooms). Jay and Sebastian are fantastic hosts. They took care of us so well. I felt like at home :) I truly recommend Casa Cactus Buenavista and will definitely go back when I am in Mexico again.
