The place was beautifully decorated like a museum and had a unique atmosphere. The trees and landscape showed they were well taken care and the place was exceptionally clean. The breakfast on Sunday morning with eggs was exceptional. I loved everything about being here and these two very kind and gracious people who made my first trip to Nicaragua as a solo female a delightful experience.

I rarely bother writing reviews but I enjoyed my stay at Hostel Azul so much, I thought I would leave a review on this occasion. I treated myself to the queen room, a Christmas present to myself! It was spacious, the bed was very comfy, the huge walk-in closet also had a modern clothes airer and the bathroom was large and clean and well lit. It all felt very modern. The pool, hammocks and the lounge chairs outside were great for relaxing and the large fridge came in useful, especially the ice and water dispenser. There was a choice of breakfasts. The tours I booked with the hostel were well-ran with very professional guides and transportation people. The owners of the hostel couldn’t have been more helpful, happy to their spend time with the people staying there and answering all the questions I had. They made me feel like family!
