Thé location was amazing, the water was calm, no wind like the other side of the island. The farm animals were a great perk . The owner and staff were so welcoming. The sunset with volcano views, near the entrance to the river for kayaking. Beside a happening bar. Mango beach is great too. The toilets and showers were very clean. A magical paradise. The hut was perfectly cute right on the water front.

Che was an amazing host with lots of local recommendations and helped us book a scooter, ATV and gave us recommendations for horseback riding. This is an incredibly unique and beautiful cabin that Che built himself as a labour of love for his original home on Ometepe Island. We felt incredibly lucky to have stumbled on this absolute gem of a place to stay in one of the most special places in the world.

L’établissement Ananda Guesthouse vous accueille à Balgue, à 12 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Stratovolcan Maderas. Il comprend un jardin, une terrasse, un barbecue et un parking privé gratuit. Très gros coup de cœur pour ce logement. Tout y est, la vue sur le volcan est magnifique, les chambres sont grandes, entretenues. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux (le pain incroyable). Quelques commentaire mentionnent la difficulté d’accès mais le chemin pour accéder au logement est relativement facile à toute personne qui sait déjà conduire un scooter. Merci beaucoup !

Without a doubt the best hostel I've stayed at throughout the entire Central America. The huts are tucked away in a lush tropical garden and it is a little heaven of peace and calm. This is not a party hostel and I loved the chill vibe. The only sounds you'll hear are the birds (hence the name of the hostel). I was in an 8-bed dorm which was a bit tight but each bed has its own fan the the bed was comfortable - I slept like a baby. The facilities are super clean, one of rare places that sorts out trash for recycling, there is a lovely terrace and upper chillout area where you can see the Concepcion volcano. They offer breakfast at a good price and the typical Nica breakfast was delicious. There's a different evening meal on offer every day but I didn't try any. The staff were really kind and helped me organise a few things such as kayaking, transport, bike, etc. If I ever go back to Ometepe, I will definitely book this place again. Excellent!
