My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The accommodation was spotless and so incredibly comfortable that we ended up oversleeping by 2.5 hours — a testament to how relaxed we felt. Tracey, the host, truly went above and beyond with thoughtful little touches that made the place feel so homely. The variety provided was amazing — from an assortment of creams, shampoos, and conditioners in the bathroom to a delightful breakfast selection of cereals, teas, marmalades, and more. Every detail seemed carefully considered, and it made us feel so welcome. Although we didn’t use it, the grill available for guests is a fantastic option for sunny days. Unfortunately, we had cloudy weather, but it didn’t dampen our experience. Instead, we cozied up in the bedroom and watched Netflix on the smart TV, which allowed us to log into our own account. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone passing through Te Anau. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and hospitality — we couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Very cosy with everything we needed thoughtfully arranged. We loved sitting on the covered deck watching the animals - alpaca, lambs, chickens, ducks. Lots of birdsong. Incredible views. Lovely and helpful host. Did not feel overlooked by the owners, private feeling space.

When we arrived at Milford Sound Lodge, we were informed that the road would be closed the following day. Unfortunately we could not stay but the staff member, Gillian, immediately confirmed we could cancel without any penalties. The money was refunded promptly. We were disappointed we couldn’t stay as the lodges looked fab but with the amazing customer service we received, I have no doubt it would have been a wonderful stay.

Situé à Lumsden, l’établissement Stump Cottage possède un jardin. Les hébergements possèdent un balcon offrant une vue sur le jardin. Absolutely the sweetest little cottage and kind family that owns it!! Host was super helpful and accommodating. She left food in the fridge for us to make sandwiches and a few drinks! We even got a cuddle in from their sweet cat that lived nearby! The cottage was warm and inviting. Not a ton of places to eat out but the few places they have are great! 10/10 would stay her again. Perfect place to stop on our way from Te Anua to Queenstown!
