The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi throughout the property. Super efficient, the interior furnishings were out of this world.

Among the various facilities are an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge, as well as a terrace. Guests can enjoy Portuguese dishes at the restaurant or have a cocktail at the bar. Breakfast was excellent. The location was superb - considering three methods of transportation: by car, by bus and walking. Everything worked fine and the staff was willing to help you with all your questions. There is only few parking spots (15€/day) available at the hotel (located in the neighboring lot) but the staff gave an excellent advice to park your rented vehicle in the public car park (5€/day) just 3 blocks away. The rooftop pool and bar were a nice addition to a top quality experience.

Location was perfect - city center, a lot of restaurants in surroundings, room was clean and silent, staff was very helpfull and friendly.

Theresa was such a brilliant hostess, she made it feel like home.Breakfast was just right to set you up for the day. The food in the evenings was beautifully prepared. I would definitely recommend Casa de Proteas for a beautiful and relaxing holiday destination.

I was looking forward to staying at this place - and It didn’t disappoint me! Stylish, modern, great architecture perfectly built-in the surrounding nature, featuring cool colorful details. The room was great, the view - amazing! I liked the outdoor pool a lot, as well as hot tub with 180* view on the ocean. I also spotted try yoga studio there - will try next time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, check-in and checkout are quick and smooth. The breakfast is amazing, featuring buffet and menu.

Casa Da Piedade’s rooms feature wood furniture, as well as a TV and telephone. Each private bathroom includes a walk-in shower. A beautiful place with a very nice garden and freezing pool :) easy to relax sitting in the chair or lying in the hammock, since it is further from the main road, it is also quiet Lovely staff, we talked mostly with Rubina (?) always with a smile, although she was probably quite busy Tasty breakfast Very nice room with amazing view of the surrounding mountains (1st floor), the whole house is very nice, bright and maintained Welcome drink (Madeira wine) and a tasty cake (forgot to ask for the name, it was not pastel nata) Would definitely come back someday!

The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. It offers 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants, a Spa and a sun deck overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gardens. The stuff were super nice! At the beginning we had a mistake with our room, and the guy at the reception immediately took care of it! The room was one of the best I ever had - big, clean and comfortable.
