It’s about 15–30 minutes to the Tea/Mist and Eryanping trails if you enjoy hiking. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Taiwan.

The bed was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was very strong and the TV had many channels. The host was very warm, welcoming, diligent, friendly, and helpful. The son helped us carry our luggages to the 2nd floor. The place has no elevator. Our room is huge with all the basic amenities. It's got a great view from the patio. On clear days one can view the sun rise there. Breakfast was delicious and healthy. It's about a 10 min drive from the Tai Ping sky ladder. There are no resturants close by, so grab your bento from the Tai Ping old street. Highly recommended.

Loved chatting to the hosts and taking pictures with them.

If you want to go up to Alishan Recreation Forest Area, you still need to take the bus for about 50 minutes though.
