United KingdomThe bungalow is incredibly gorgeous and we had a lovely stay for almost a month. All of the rooms are spacious and equipped with enough storage and access to outlets. The lights are dimmable and the curtains are black out. The garden is very lovely and is maintained really well. The kitchen is well equipped and contains most things such as pans, baking trays, glasses, mugs, plates and cutlery. The property is within walking distance to the station, there is a lot of nature nearby and there is access to supermarkets and restaurants. Overall we had a lovely stay however there were a lot of cleaning and hygiene issues which reduced how we scored the property.
There could be a lot more done with regards to cleaning, there are lots of cobwebs some of which are very large. There are lots of trapped insects in the cobwebs near the doors and it’s something which could generally be avoided if cleaned well between guests. There is a lot of noticeable dust which had piled up on surfaces indicating it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. We cleaned quite often whilst staying there and treated it very well - we cleaned all surfaces, including the toilet, hoovered often and also mopped. There was a lot that we were cleaning which should have been tidied beforehand. The toilets definitely need to be cleaned better between guests. The dryer also required maintenance and we found we had to clean it a fair bit before using it ourselves. No extra supplies such as black bags or liquid soap for handwashing are provided. The cleaning cupboard was also quite haphazardly organised and everything was pushing out into the corridor which wasn’t helpful. The kitchen itself is a bit run down with the cabinets not closing properly. The oven wasn’t on and we were given unclear instructions for a while before we realised the host company had actually meant something different altogether which we only realised after looking for the button ourselves.
