My partner and I originally booked to stay in the Lavender, when we arrived we were really happy, the pod was beautiful. A member of staff showed us around a Shepard’s hut to give us an idea for when we next come back. We ended up changing our stay to a shepards hut purely because we wanted our own bathroom. Both places were absolutely gorgeous and very clean and modern. The staff were absolutely amazing.

Firstly, the staff are very friendly and always helpful. We stayed in one of the Bell tents, I’m not a keen camper but this was lovely, the tent has a plug so that you can charge your phone or use you hair dryer etc.. And the bed is so comfortable! The site is well maintained and modern. If you have food from the restaurant you won’t be disappointed, the food we had was delicious! Breakfast is a must. The site is next to road but I didn’t find it to be an issue, at all. Over all we really enjoyed our stay, everything was spot on, thank you.

We loved the location of the Yurts, as our trip was for my sons birthday, a trip he wanted to go fishing, we were perfectly placed to go to Brixham, Paignton and Torquay, and our visit to nearby Pennywell Farm just rounded off our visit! Deborah our host was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for her, upon arrival she gave us some of her own raised sausages, and eggs, my personal favourite was our daily visit of Billy, one of the farm Border Collie Dogs, she is beautiful and I would have loved to taken her home with us! But she is where she belongs, the shared facilities were always available when needed, and very clean, the Yurts are well spaced out so that you are not overlooked, and very comfortable and equipped!

This place is truly a sanctuary. My tent was set in just the right spot, with the gentle embrace of natural white noise for two nights, and I slept more soundly than I have in a long time. The surroundings are calm, peaceful, and deeply comforting — the kind of quiet that allows you to truly rest. The neighbours were wonderfully kind. We could share light conversations with ease, while also respecting each other’s space, creating the perfect balance between connection and solitude. The location is also excellent for exploring — there are lovely trails for hiking nearby, and it’s easy to reach the coast either by car or on foot. The shared facilities, including the showers and kitchen, were kept in excellent condition: clean, practical, and very convenient. A heartfelt thank you goes to the host and the staff. They showed genuine gender inclusivity, and when I experienced an unexpected situation, they responded immediately with such care and respect. It made me feel truly looked after. This stay has been both healing and restorative. I’ve already recommended it to my friends, so they too can come here to rest, recharge, and find peace.

Just lovely. The tent had everything you needed to enjoy a unique glamping experience. Alex and Simon have thought of every detail including local recommendations. The electric blankets were a nice touch. There is a well stocked honesty shop if you need anything. The area is so peaceful. Close to lots of lovely places of interest. Will definitely be re booking.

The owners had thought of everything - it really is a luxury experience of camping. Hot water bottles, suppliers like tea and coffee and oil in the kitchen, well stocked cupboards of pans and crockery, super comfortable beds and sofas - you really want for nothing. The wood-fired hot tub is a real novelty. I loved the honesty shop too, with fresh eggs and drinks and emergency supplies. When one of our group forgot their toothbrush, there was one right there. Perfect! The setting is very special, with only 2 tents it feels very private and the views are lovely. The fact that you can walk to a village with 2 pubs is the icing on the cake.
