This was stunning. Wadi Rum is incredible, and this camp is centrally situated with incredible views. We had perhaps the best suite on the camp at the outer edge, giving us a great sun rise and uninterrupted views of the desert. Staff were excellent, the tour organised thru the camp was terrific with Sultan, a dead set legend, and the food!!! The traditional under ground hangi style mean was epic. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

The place is magical, you are in a real arabic fairytale... The desert, the hospitality, the camp, the trips, the beauty & comfort, the people & especially Hassan, our host, it all brings you to another dimension of life... Experience that is beyound your imagination... We had the privilege to be Hassan's special guest & we were treated as such. We stayed in a Marcian dome tent. We were truely impressed & very greatful. Thank you very much, it was a real honor & pleasure for us. We recommend the camp, just go & stay there to experience tha magic of the desert & life.

Great location on the mountain. Spacious dining and lounging area. Delicious buffet. In the evening there was traditional music, meat baked in a pit, the night starry sky. I had to leave in the evening, and they left me at the campsite, where I could rest and take a walk nearby in the desert. The guide Mahmud took me on a jeep tour. He showed me everything stated in the program, recommended the best views for photos, in the evening of the next day he came for me and took me to the bus. Many thanks to all the staff.

Adel and his brother and chef were the most gracious hosts. We were picked up and dropped back into town. Breakfast and dinner were an incredible feast. The camp itself is gorgeous- clean, air conditioning, great view. Waking up to the incredible backdrop was a dream. Thank you for our magical stay! Highly recommend!

The camp is very small und private with just 4 bubble tents and everthing is still pretty new, clean and in good condition. It is located in the northern part of Wadi Rum about 10km from the next town in a very secluded area. There are a few camps there, but you don't see them unless you climb on the rocks. It is a really quite and beautiful place. Eid the owner is a very friendly man who takes care that everything works out well. He took care for a smooth arrival, took us to his home, where he explained all the options for tours (jeep/camel) we have and the cost for them. He was never pushy and left everything up to our choice. Dinner and Breakfast were great with many options and more food than we could eat. When we left we were taken to the meeting point with our driver for the onward journey. Besides the tours everything is included, there are no charges for food or beverages or anything. We had a great time at the Wild Oryx Camp and enjoyed true Bedouin hospitality.

We started the day with Awad serving us a delicious black tea as a welcoming gesture. Then we headed to the full day jeep tour. Definitely worth it. The history behind every place we visited along with the explanation given by Awad provided us the most beautiful moments of our trip. At lunch time we collected wood sticks to light a fire in order to cook a meal, to then eating it in the middle of desert while contemplating the true nature and life in the desert. In the afternoon we continued our tour visiting more historical places, along with other groups, what lead us to the most overwhelming sunset over the mountains. At night time, we went to the camp where the chef cooked us a delicious traditional meal in the coziest tent of all time. After dinner, they lighted a fire while drinking Bedouin coffee and tea and sharing histories with one another. As if it wasn't good enough, at 4am we could watch the night sky full of stars, planets and even a glimpse of the Milky Way, as the moon light fades as it sets in the horizon. Not forgetting about the shooting stars we got lucky to see. Long story short: thank you Awad and all the friends for, within a full day, giving us the most memorable experience of our lives, one I heartfully recommend and plan on repeating.

This was the best experience we ever had during vacations! We stayed for 3 nights which for sure was no't too long. First of all Abdullah and his real Bedouin family are really fantastic. They do everything to make you feel home. Always friendly and smiling everyone tries to make you feel home. Nothing is too much asked. We did the Camel ride to see sunrise in the desert We can advise, as we would not want to miss. For sure do the 4x4 trip (do 5 hours!). There is much to see and it is a great impression of Wadi Rum. Special thanks to Hussain who made it extra nice. The Shakria camp itself is great. In Wadi Rum it really is the best. We saw some other camps where we felt pity for the guests. Shakria offers everything to survive in the heat . We were there in July and really appreciated the airco and private shower. And what is better than waking up with desert view? The food is prepared in the Bedouin way and is really tasty! For sure we will come back!

We loved to stay in Mars Camp. We met the most wonderful people in the world. Ali and his family and Melisa arranged pick up from visitor center, jeep tour with food included, traditional dinner, stargazing with fire and helped us to get to Dead Sea afterwards. Whole place is very cozy, peaceful, comfortable and full of positive energy :) we were blessed :)
