Staff - the most helpful, warm and attentive I've met in a long time! Room View - gorgeous and the hammock was a lovely surprise Food - Breakfast was tasty and although there wasn't a bar there was afternoon tea/cake (better in my opinion!) Room - lovely, spacious, and clean. No wardrobe or place to hang clothes though (in the room I was given at least. There were shelves and plenty of baggage storage space).

Absolutely fantastic breakfast. We were offered fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee, tea, cakes and a choice of eggs, omelette or tapioca. And sat out on the veranda with a wonderful view of the sea.

The highlight is the lovely balconies with stunning views of the beach, with a lovely hammock to chill in. The breakfast is lovely, with a range of delicious fruits, homemade cakes, scrambled eggs, etc. The staff were lovely- Sofia was very welcoming!

Casa Matatiso is a tranquil place with everything you'd want for a stay on Ilha Grande. Kitchen was really well-equipped, the room and property was clean. Beds are very comfortable. The outside deck has seating and a table plus hammocks. Recommend!

Most gorgeous little pousada surrounded by lovely greenery. Owners have really put in effort to make the place eco friendly. We booked a chalet and it was beautifully decorated. And the hammock outside was a nice touch to relax after a long day ! Breakfast was good.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms and tents and decent common areas. Beds were outstandingly comfortable!

Very nice place, large room with everything you need and even a mosquito net. Also has a lovely outdoor area with hammock and deck. The common area is great and convivial. Maria-Luisa is an excellent host, lovely person, always ready for a chat and to make cocktails. We can see she enjoys being a host and make sure that everyone is happy.and enjoying her little corner of paradise.
