A truly unique stay in a converted windmill. Breathtaking design, with steps all around the inside of the walls leading to the elevated circular bedroom. Small but fully equipped kitchen and very sweet to have a basket of local goods presented to us on arrival. Lovely spot just outside to sit in the evenings and watch the sunset over the sea but the lovely host also welcomed us to go and sit at the back of the other property to have a better view if desired.

I was in a dorm with 3 beds and a private bathroom. It was really clean and practical. Their is a personal light for each bed. The breakfast were delicious. There is a nice pool and a backyard with hammocks.

The location is exceptional, with views over the ocean, 15 minutes from the airport and only 20 minutes to Ponta Delgada or Sete Cidades. Bed linen smelled fresh and the kitchen was well equipped. Lovely gardens with a great balcony to enjoy the sunset over a meal and a glass of wine. The owner, Elso, was superb, nothing was too much trouble.

Great spa facilities that never felt crowded so it was possible to have a truly relaxing experience, plus we had great massages at the spa! Lovely, large and comfortable bed in the bedroom. Wonderful breakfast served with local products. Friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location for watching the sunset.
