The property features river views and is 31 km from Skukuza Golf Course. Absolutely worth it, the full immersion experience with that luxury comfort is incomparable. We had a great night stay here, had quite a few encounters with the wildlife but felt completely safe and taken care of throughout.

Umkumbe Bush Lodge - Luxury Tented Camp is a recently renovated luxury tent in Sabi Sand Game Reserve, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and bar. The property was built in 2021 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. The luxury tent also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. We had an amazing three-night stay at Umkumbe bush Lodge. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. As there are only a few tents, they get to know your name and preferences and it feels like a home away from home. The accommodation is super clean, comfortable and exactly what you need for your visit. The common area had a wonderful pool and bar, where you can watch the wildlife pass by as you relax and unwind. The game drives start early in the morning, and it can be cold, but you are provided with warm fleece blankets as well as ponchos for when it rains. Both our guides (Pieter and Capps ) are very knowledgeable and good fun - they really look after us and engaged in conversation while on drives sharing their passion for the area. The coffee and drink stops were a highlight as well. We cannot rate this place highly enough and hope to return sometime in the future, l Thank you to everyone at Umkumbe for making this such a memorable experience and making us feel like more than just guests. Buffelshoek Tented Camp rates include full board accommodation and 2 game drives a day. This, however, does not include alcoholic beverages. Towels and bed linen are provided. Staying at Buffelshoek was one of the best experiences of our lives. It is an unfenced camp, so the animals can roam free through it. We were welcomed by an elephant on arrival. During the day, you can move freely from your tend/house to the main house; at night, the staff will accompany you for dinner. There's no electricity apart from lights in the rooms, but there's hot water, and there's always a breeze coming in from the windows, and when it is too hot, you can always go to the main house, on the sundeck. The rooms are so lovely and spacious, and so is the bathroom. The sunrises you will see from your bed staying here are the most beautiful. You eat with the other guests, and there is a fixed menu, but they are very accommodating and had no problem making vegetarian food for us! The cook is great; we ate very, very well. The fact that it is an unfenced camp also meant that a snake got into the main house one night and that we could hear the elephants scratching on the trees near the houses at night, and it was a little scary. But first of all, the staff took care of the snake with no trouble, and second, for us, the fear was immediately overcome by the awe of being so close to nature. This is such an authentic and well-cared-for place, and we truly loved it. A special thank you to Benson, our fantastic guide and driver who made this experience even more special (we saw all the big 5, tons of animals, even in big groups).

Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge borders directly on the Kruger National Park and is situated on the banks of the Crocodile River where wild animals are viewed directly from the lodge's accommodation, from the viewing deck and from the swimming pool. This is a gem. One does not often come across a place where heart and soul is poured into it in the way that Bruce and Ilse does. We consider this a treasured spot that we will recommend to our friends. The food was delicious. Great base if you want to explore the Southern part of Kruger. You can literally see the Crocodile bridge (where you enter the park) from the lodge. Safaris can be arranged if you do not want to self-drive. While we were there many guests chose this option and all were pleased with their experience. The lodge includes breakfast and dinner but not lunch. A good choice it the Komatipoort Golf Course - superb view, nice food and friendly service. 10 min drive from the lodge

The staff is amazing in general, but our guide Ruben was just the best. My dream was always to do a safari and shindzela lived up to my expectations or better!
