Being far away in the desert, the place had a special atmosphere and the accommodation was both practical and in harmony with the peacefulness of the nature. It says rustic in the title, so don't expect luxury. We really enjoyed the bedouin stories and bits of info and the staff, starting with Shahin, was really friendly and welcoming.

The highlight of our stay was the dune bashing experience—our driver was absolutely perfect, skilled, and made the ride both thrilling and safe. Watching the sunset from the top of the dunes was magical. Also best spot for sunrise just 15 minutes of walk on near dune. The tent (fabric) —featuring comfortable (i prefer hard) mattress, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The bricked private bathroom few steps from tent was clean and well-maintained, which is not always the case in desert camps. So magic of staying in traditional tent yet with luxury of flushing toilet and shower! In the evening, we enjoyed a beautiful night by the fireplace, sipping traditional Omani coffee and tea, available 24/7. The dinner buffet as well as breakfast buffet all freshly prepared and full of flavor. This camp truly offers the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and hospitality. Whether you’re looking for a dune experience or a peaceful retreat under the stars, this is the best place to stay in Wahiba Sands. Highly recommended!
