Chiang Mai International Airport is 35 km away. This is an exceptional place. Fully immersed in nature and hearing forest sounds is just so relaxing. We booked for 2 nights but I would say that 3 nights is minimum - especially if you want to look around in the area as there are some very beautiful waterfalls and elephant sanctuaries near by. The breakfast was very good, balanced and healthy. You can eat lunch and dinner here as well which is all super tasty and not expensive at all. Camp 6 and 7 seem to be most private (we stayed at 7).

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Samatha Camper is a recently renovated campground situated in Chiang Dao, 36 km from Elephant Nature Park. Among the facilities at this property are luggage storage space and a tour desk, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Really cool spot, you can tell a lot of care and attention has gone into the place. I stayed solo in a van and it was nice and cozy, warm enough in the cool evening. The puppies on site were a nice edition. The owners really friendly and the breakfast and coffee were top notch. Would definitely come back here. Also if youre going to Shambhala its just 2ks down the road so good around festival time.
