Absolutely gorgeous place! The views are stunning, the nature around is so peaceful 😍 We’ve stayed in the tent room and it was very comfortable, clean and secluded. The tent, terrace and net hammock are in great condition! The staff was incredible! The tent rooms are situated a bit far away from the parking and reception and the road to them is very steep. We weren’t sure that our car can do it, so the personnel had taken us to our room with all the luggage, brought us dinner and breakfast and given us a lift uphill to our car.

Lovely traditional bamboo bungalows with palm leaf roofs, very comfortable to sleep in. Mosquito net, storage space, fan, western toilet and shower, all of this is available. The houses are lined up around the restaurant and the beautiful garden. In the garden there are hammocks and small places to relax in the shade, as well as deck chairs under raffia umbrellas. There is a nice breakfast and great food in the restaurant, Phe Sao even brought my favorite vegetables. Thank you very much :) Things happen at a leisurely pace here, it's very relaxed. fantastic for calming down. The hornbill that breeds on the site is unique to observe. and many other birds and animals to observe. and an incredible starry sky at night. You should not expect luxury, it is all very basic on the island. But there are very hospitable, warm people. For me that is the most valuable thing, the loving people who welcome you so warmly. Therefore, it was a 10 stars-rating experience for me. There is no shop or ATM on the island. So take enough cash with you. and something more. There is a collection for the school, maybe you would like to take part. or support the cat lady who has taken in a hundred cats :). There are also cute jewelry to buy in the place itself. It was completely different from anything I've experienced in Thailand. I felt like I was at home with a Thaï style setting. The owners are really so lovely and welcome you as if you were part of their family. It was as if we have known each other for a long time. There is a kind of natural magic in the atmosphere here. This place is synonymous with relaxation, serenity, happiness, peace, harmony, love and unity. The room was clean and confortable, i also had a kitchen with many good equipments. The location was perfect for me because I was going to Orion which was close to my bungalow. And also, there is a supermarket at 2 min by walks, it’s so convenient for shopping. If you are looking for luxurious, soulless, and meaningless places, Smiley Bungalows is not for you. However, if you are seeking a place unlike any other, where you can relax and enjoy your life, with the jungle on one side and the sea on the other, with many lovely cute animals, all with a unique and warm welcome, then this place is made for you. Nam, Nut and Kenan, thank you so much for everything, I will never forget my time with you, you literally made my experience unforgettable. God bless you all.

This new hotel is slightly off the beaten path, but still very easy to access. That's a good thing, as its surroundings are very quiet and pretty. The room was luxurious and very cosy, and the common grounds of the hotel are essentially a beautiful garden. Best was the staff and especially the manager who was extremely attentive and helpful and proactively offered me plenty of extra goodies! I would come back without hesitation!

There are kingfishers, lapwings, green pigeons, hornbills and many other wonderful birds on the property garden.

There was a kind and helpful staff. Breakfast was simple, but good and they let us have food a bit past breakfast hours. They have tire floaties and paddle boards to take on the river. The camp is right on the river- best location. The tent is simple but clean and there was a fan and extension cord to use- a bit like Glamping. :)
