Cabins in Otari

Everything exceeded expectations. Spacious, warm, great location at incredible ski slopes, good kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds. The host was incredible and helped us with everything. We couldn’t have wished for more.

We recently stayed at this beautiful mountain cabin with our family and had a fantastic time. The cabin was very cozy and welcoming, with a lovely attic that our 6-year-old daughters absolutely loved. The rooms were simple but had everything we needed, including tissue boxes in each room. The bathrooms were clean and well-equipped, and we particularly enjoyed the large wooden-clad bathroom. The kitchen was amazing and had all the equipment we needed, including cutlery, dishware and cookware, and also salt, pepper, olive oil, soy sauce and other cooking items. It was also quite spacious and had an XXL European-style dishwasher, which meant we only had to run it once every two days. The dining table was huge and ideal for families or groups of up to 7-8 friends. The living room had several sofas, a bookshelf with board games and some books (in English), and a very large flat-screen TV with streaming services like Netflix. Despite the cabin being located in the middle of the snow, the heating worked perfectly, and we always felt comfortable. There was also a wood-burning stove in the living room, although we didn't get to use it. The beds were comfortable and warm, and the Wi-Fi worked well, although it did fail one day. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and when we reported the Wi-Fi issue, he came over immediately to fix it. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He picked us up from the train station and accompanied us to the supermarket to buy somre groceries. After check-out, he also took us to send our luggage and accompanied us back to the train station. He even lent us a car while we stayed, which we used to go to a ski resort for a day. Although the cabin was not cheap, we found that the quality-price ratio was good. We highly recommend this beautiful cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway with family or friends.

It’s was situated out of the hustle of Hakuba but close enough that it was only 5 mins into town. The view is spectacular

The cottage was amazing and everything was perfect. Due to the heavy snow and the fact that the cottage is in some small roads, an AWD or 4 WD is necessary. There is the highland bus stop on the main road about 15-20 min walk away. Mickey and Mary, the couple who assisted us during our stay are fantastic and helped us get unstuck in our 2WD car a couple of times and where always available to assist.

Exceptional host - Rory was an absolute gem! Lovely hostel with fantastic and spacious common areas. Very helpful shuttle to and from station and ski hill. Amazing mountain views. Rooms are smallish, but the large common rooms make up for it. The kitchen is professional grade and generously stocked with absolutely everything needed and more.
