Great homely stay an hour drive away from Auckland. Angela is super friendly and makes you feel like home immediately. Cute location in a quiet area, with sheep nearby and a nice backyard with a heated pool. Highly recommend to stay here for an escape from the city or on the way up north!

I don't know what we loved most: the lovely host, Peter, the excellent location, the thoughtful design with its endless admirable details, the tropical feel, the peace, or the prime location close to cafes and restaurants. Everything! I 100% recommend staying at Hobson Lodge. The staff and the people around here are super nice and friendly. There are many toilets and showers, and the bed it's really comfy.
