Le Cradle Mountain Highlanders propose des cabines isolées en bordure du parc national de Cradle Mountain. It was a special and peaceful retreat in a cabin surrounded by the forest. Both the reception area and the cabins were beautifully designed. The fireplace inside the cabin kept us very warm—so much so that at night, we even left the window slightly open while the fire was still going. It was conveniently close to the Visitor Centre and Devils @ Cradle. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed, but I’d recommend bringing enough ingredients if you plan to cook your own meals.

Strahan Wilderness Lodge was easy to get to if you have a vehicle. The shared dining room area and kitchen has a lovely view of the water and Strahan across the bay. The Wilderness Lodge was clean and furnished well. it ws a quiet and comfortable place to stay. The couple running it are friendly and helpful.

Alot of thought & care has gone in making guests comfortable i.e supplying things from cleaning products, batteries, cooking utensils etc to a lovely little bbq on the verandah. Very well set up for a fully self contained accommodation. Lovely big garden to sit out in or just sit on the verandah. We enjoyed our stay here & would return if we are in need of somewhere out of the city.
