Very calm and cozy for a couple. Gerard the owner and his wife decorated this lodge themselves with a lot of love and taste. It is also very well situated for trails as well as local restaurants nearby. Cherry on the cake was the friendly animals in the garden. There was a cat, called “The Cat”, who played with my wife for hours, and roosters running around, it was all really very nice, we will come again !

Excellent proximity to Piton de la Fournaise. The villa is huge and heating was good in the bedrooms. The fireplace added a special touch to the warmth of the house. Kitchen is well equipped with some condiments available for cooking. A washing machine is available but it will be perfect if a laundry rack is provided. The hosts could not speak English but communication was still manageable via an app translator.

It is new, clean, and cozy and the hosts were super nice as well. In the chalet, you will find everything that you need for your stay. The location is perfect if you plan to hike to the volcano during your stay, but at the same time, you can go to the beach as well (takes about 1h drive). Highly recommend this place and we will definitely come back again!
