We were particularly impressed by the owner's commitment to sustainability, evident in their refusal to use single-use plastics. Instead, they offer fresh water in glass bottles and provide stainless steel straws with each drink. The staff's kindness extends beyond humans, too - their furry friends, the dogs and cats, are clearly well-loved and cared for. Another thoughtful touch is the daily visit from staff around 6 pm to spray the room with bug repellent - a lovely added convenience. Overall, we can't recommend this place highly enough!

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool and views of pool, Paje Emerald Escapes is a recently renovated chalet situated in Paje, 600 metres from Paje Beach. There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. The chalet features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. I had such a fantastic experience staying at Paje Emerald Escapes! The villas are absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-designed, and a true slice of paradise. But what truly made the stay unforgettable was the incredible staff. A huge thank you to Leslie, who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. From arranging airport transfers to organizing tuk-tuk shuttles, she was constantly helpful, professional, and incredibly sweet. Her kindness really made me feel at home. I’d also love to give a special shoutout to Salim for helping me out when a few geckos made their way into the villa. He came over right away, was extremely helpful, and so kind throughout. I would absolutely stay here again—not just for the stunning villas, but because the people here genuinely care. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Paje!

Zanzibar Butterfly Centre is 36 km from the accommodation, while Jozani Forest is 36 km away. Abeid Amani Karume International Airport is 69 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. I will always keep this place in my heart. 3 nights here released 2 years of stress on my shoulders. Serenity, astonishing views, jungles, animals, sunrises, sunsets, amazing food. The bungalow is spacious, spotlessly clean, brand new, where luxury meets rustic and bonds you with nature. Watching monkeys playing on baobab branches from the terrace of our bungalow was just mind-blowing. Mtende beach is like from sci-fi movies, just unbelievable, one of the most memorable and remarkable places I’ve visited on this planet. All this is possible thanks to the hospitality of Jeff and Suzi, who went above and beyond to provide the best experience of our stay in Zanzibar. We stayed on 6 beaches in Zanzibar, 9 accommodations, and this was the best place.

The spacious chalet features 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a toaster, and 1 bathroom with a shower. A private entrance leads guests into the chalet, where they can enjoy some wine or champagne and fruits. The property has an outdoor dining area. The „ecohouse“ is a special and hidden treasure on the wonderful compound, very close to the beach in kizimkazi. The lovely style of the old materials in a fresh renovated condition was exactly our taste. Simplicity on its best. Selma is a worm host and the breakfast is close to a garden ceremony with good fruits and enough to eat. The village itself seemed to us peaceful. Tourists are not yet overehelming the traditional lifestyle. The fishermen and the beaching till sunset go well along. We regretted that we couldn’t stay longer.

The location is perfect, right by the beach, and the gym area was fantastic, allowing me to get some great workouts in during my stay. The staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and offered excellent recommendations for tours and activities. I also felt completely safe throughout my visit, which meant a lot as a solo female traveler. The food was absolutely delicious, and they were happy to accommodate specific dietary needs. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough and would definitely come back!

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with bath and free toiletries. Fantastic accommodation for people looking to explore Jozani forest on a budget. The tent is very spacious and clean, and surrounded by wildlife. The shower area was very clean and hot water is available, plus basic toiletries. If you are used to camping it is a brilliant stay. Maryam and the hosts were incredibly helpful, with taxis, hot water for tea, extra towels etc. All the food was very tasty
