I had a fantastic stay at Apple Tree Lane Cottage over a weekend trip in Bowral. It was a super charming cottage that was well equipped with everything you can need and was only a short walk from the Cherry Tree Walk / main streets of Bowral. The place was cozy, clean, very comfortable and private. The hosts were very welcoming and lovely, and generally responded to messages in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend!

    Berrima was surprisingly quiet especially when compared to...

    Berrima was surprisingly quiet especially when compared to nearby Bowral. For instance, on a Sunday morning some of the cafes remained shut. The Pub is a great place for a meal and there were lots of cafes to have breakfast and coffee. We visited a local winery Artemis, about 10 minutes away and had a beautiful Pizza and Wine for lunch. For a quiet break from Sydney it was perfect.

    Berrima is a small town with an array of eating places and...

    Berrima is a small town with an array of eating places and enough attractions to keep one busy for a weekend or midweek visit. While the old gaol is now closed, there is still the historic courthouse and an excellent museum to visit. Volunteer staff in both are excellent ambassadors and we learnt a great deal about the town and it's history.

    Berrima, where we stayed at the Berkelouw Book Barn is on Bendooley Estate in the Southern Highlands which offers all the attractions of a big country town; a cinema in Bowral; cafes; bookshops; toyshops; "Dirty Janes" at Bowral which has booths of curated wares for sale by many exhibitors entered through garden wares and plants.

    Turning the corner to Misty Pond in Berrima, Southern Highlands, I instantly felt the start of a relaxing weekend, with the soothing crackle of the fireplace setting the perfect mood. The kitchen was impressively well equipped with quality appliances, making it easy to settle in. A highlight was the pool table, which added a fun and social touch with games of snooker. Overall, the stay exceeded expectations, and I’m already looking forward to returning for another restful weekend.

    Great location, very clean, spacious, bedrooms well designed and beautifully kept grounds and tennis court. Lots of separate areas inside and outside to relax/ unwind. Very close to cafe / restaurants in Berrima and only 10 minutes to Bowral.
